Why attend an auction school?

Once you have decided you want to be an auctioneer you will want to be trained by experts.  W.C.A.’s instructors are people who are at the top of their profession.  They are willing to share their talents and knowledge with those who will be following in their footsteps.

At our school, we take pride in passing information on to students who have shown their sincerity and desire to make something of themselves. You may occasionally find self-taught auctioneers, but they will tell you they would have found it much easier and that they could have eliminated costly mistakes if they had received proper training. We have had a number of practicing auctioneers take the course offered at W.C.A. who have told us that the new ideas they’ve gained have been worth the time and expense.

If your mind is made up that you want to be an auctioneer, then compare schools and choose carefully based on which can best prepare you for your career. You will be welcome as one of our students in our next session.

Are you ready to be an auctioneer ?
We warn you that the two weeks you spend at Western will be busy ones. Classes are held each evening, as well as daytime. Your days will run together with your nights; there is little time for dates or parties and no time for those who are not willing to apply themselves. In less than two weeks you will be selling merchandise to an audience which has gathered to buy bargains and watch you improve.

Auctioneering is much more than just learning to call bids. We teach you to talk to the public, think on your feet, evaluate people, breathe properly and control your voice so you can sustain it for hours. You will learn business practices and how to get started in the business.

The merchandise-selling techniques taught at Western are transferable to the entire sales field. You will find yourself applying the motivational and public-speaking training not only to your business and social development, but also to your own growth as an individual.

Classes are limited in size to 25 students in order to give each person the greatest possible learning opportunity. Be one of our select students in the next upcoming term!

Home study courses: Western College is asked constantly for home study courses. We do not believe this is a good method to learn auctioneering. No instructors are present to correct your mistakes and show you the correct method. These mistakes then become habits and are almost impossible to change. Home study courses will not prepare you to stand up before a crowd, to think on your feet and to be master of any situation. Come learn right in our next class and save time and effort.
